March Madness

Hi all

March is here and we have had two bright sunny days this week already although here on the east coast it is still rather cold. To celebrate my favourite month of the year we are offering a free crafty gift with every order placed before the end of the month. We have gems and sparklies, embellishments and flowers to give away. So stock up on your supplies and grab a little extra treat.

There are lots of things going on this month with the new term of kids club starting Friday, as well as the usual classes and crops we also have a special make and take day on Saturday the 26th March where all the children around can come and create cards for Mothers day.

Anyway enjoy the spring like weather lets hope it lasts.

Happy Crafting

Lili Of The Valley Challenge Entry

Well its been a busy day creating for all the challenges I have entered this week. This is todays final entry which is going into the challenge on the Lili Of The Valley Challenge Blog. This times theme is circles and so I decided to create a spinner card using my favorite LOTV image. The image is mounted onto a spinner made with buttons and a hot glue gun. The image freely rotates 360 degrees and spins really well. Anyway I must now go and do some Housework Eek!

Sunday Jobs Day

Hi all

It's Sunday and most people will be spending it crafting away unfortunately I have a whole house to clean and three monsters to entertain. I have so far managed to tidy up the lounge and set my eldest up with a latch hook rug to amuse her for the day. One out of three happy. Luckily daddy will amuse the youngest with train set building which just leaves me one to amuse and the rest of the house to clean.

I have made lots of things over the last few days but unfortunately I left the pictures on my memory stick at work so I only have one thing to show you all today. It is willow hearts decorated with Prima flowers which are in pride of place in the shop window at the moment.

These make great decorations around the home and are easy to make with any embellishments and a tube of silicone glue.

Anyway must go the house wont clean itself unfortunately.

Bumps

Whilst blog hopping the other day I can across a card made with a digi stamp from the Digistamp Boutique. The image was perfect for a card I wanted to make for my friend who has just found out shes pregnant.

This is the first time I have used a digi stamp and I must say I was surprised. I thought they would prove difficult to print and wondered on the ink and how it would react to promarkers etc. I found them so easy to use and colour with no issue of ink bleeding at all. I wont hesitate in future to use this form of stamp.

Anyway here it is my card

Yummy Scrummy

It’s been a busy few weeks at the Crafting Shed with far to much office work and nowhere near enough time for crafting. But with all the boring stuff either behind me or passed on to others, I have managed to snatch a day of crafting.

I decided to have a play with the Yummy Scrummy papers from Craftwork Cards. These are lovely pearlescents in pinks and beiges with various designs from polka dots to swirls.

The following card is my favourite. So I decided to create an online tutorial for you all to view this lesion please click here

The sale is almost over in store and we have just listed some items onto Ebay so if you fancy a bargain why not take a look at

I spent a lovely couple of hours today teaching a Shrink plastic card making class to a disabled lady and her carer. We made the card shown above using Tim Holz Distress inks for the background, and Staz On and Shrink Plastic for the tag. Both background and tag use the same large blossom stamp. Lovely as the two hours were it made me realise how difficult life can be for people that have a disability affecting the movement of their limbs. We did however create a great card proving that with a little determination you can do anything you put your mind to.

There are many things happening in The Crafting Shed this week including some new stock arrivals from Craftwork Cards, Fridays Scrappers Club, Children's Club and the Saturday Crafters to mention but a few. It's all busy busy busy.

Hi all

As promised here are the photos of the cards made with the High Kelling ladies last week.

Unfortunately I haven't made a single card this week. I have so far spent every day uploading all the new products to the website and doing a stock take at the shop. Its been a very uncreative week but Friday and Saturday are both club days so hopefully I will have time to create by the end of the week.

Check out all the new stock at www.thecraftingshed.co.uk

New Year New Blog !

Hope you have all recovered from Christmas. It's been a busy week for us at The Crafting Shed with the arrival of new stock and new samples to be made. I also spent a lovely afternoon with a club in High Kelling teaching pop up and Tri-fold cards. I will post the photos of these tomorrow night for you all to see. The website you may have noticed has undergone major changes over the Last fortnight, the new design is very different from the old look and we are all very pleased with it. New class lists are available online and the how to guides should be ready soon. It has taken the whole team many hours of work so please check it out at www.thecraftingshed.co.uk and let us know what you think.

The shop has also undergone some changes over the Christmas break, the workshop area especially which has a fresh coat of paint and some new bunting and box framed scrapbook layouts.

I have had lots of fun playing with the new stock and thought I would share with you a layout I have made using the magenta papers that have arrived in store.

Card Making wise we have been playing with the Sugar Nellies which we retail from our bricks and mortar store.

This stamp has been coloured using Promarkers and is mounted on Magenta papers.

I must apologise for the pictures! I'm sorry to say photography is not my strong point.
